"Podcast" is the dumbest word of the year.

Sadly.. actually... "Podcast" is the Oxford 2005 word of the year. Much to my dismay. You see, the word podcast is corporate jingo for an audio file on the web.. so not only does it sound stupid.. it also advertises the i-pod.. and now it is officially in the dictionary. They might as well change "Cola" to "Coke" or "Educating the public" to "Selling out to corporate one-minded groupthink".

Wait, is "Groupthink" an word in the oxford dictionary? Maybe it should be.

From now on, please refer to any image on the web as an "eyecast" or any textfile as a "wordcast".
